Rescue euro to be raised to twelve euros

The Styrian Red Cross has reached an agreement with the politicians: The rescue euro is to increase by a third from 2025, and the corresponding amendment to the law will be presented to the Health Committee next week. The increase will be at the expense of the municipalities.

Negotiations went on for months, but now the cards are on the table: the Styrian Red Cross has reached an agreement with the state and the Association of Towns and Municipalities that the rescue euro will be increased from nine to twelve euros from January 2025. A corresponding motion by the ÖVP and SPÖ will be submitted to the health committee next week, after which the amendment to the law will be passed by the state parliament.
