The Glockner Road in the Hohe Tauern National Park will soon be advertised as an alternative route to the traffic jam on the Tauern highway. Not everyone likes that. Conservationists and environmentalists are alarmed.

Traffic jam-free to the south and back again. The ideal way to go on vacation. Until 2026, the tunnel construction site on the Tauernautobahn will continue to put a spanner in the works for motorists. A new solution has now emerged for vacation transit traffic: Travel via the Grossglockner High Alpine Road.
