Has monument protection in Gries am Brenner failed? The White Horse Inn monument is likely to be demolished soon. The provincial administrative court has ordered its demolition. Mayor Karl Mühlsteiger is now drawing an explosive comparison and is hoping for an "appeal". He obviously has the Monuments Office on his side.

Many local residents in Gries am Brenner no longer understand the world. Even for Mayor Karl Mühlsteiger, the decision is, as he says, in no way comprehensible. "Completely illogical, absurd." These are the words that come to the head of the village.
