Permit for heat pump takes up to a year

In contrast to other federal states, a permit is required for the installation of a heat pump in Styria. In Graz, this can take up to a year. 

If you want to build in the provincial capital, you need nerves of steel. The procedures can sometimes drag on endlessly - which is why the city is in a legal battle with several developers, as we have reported. However, it's not just larger projects that are affected by this - even if you want to switch to a more climate-friendly heating system, you need patience, a lot of it.
