New parking zones not affordable for the city of Bregenz

The installation of the new parking machines alone would cost around 850,000 euros - plus at least another 20,000 euros per year. But it is not only the costs that play into the hands of Mayor Michael Ritsch.  

Before the 2020 elections, Michael Ritsch had promised to abolish parking fees in the Vorkloster district of Bregenz if he became mayor. The Social Democrat won the elections, but the parking fees in Vorkloster still have to be paid.
