Not only does finding a partner happen differently nowadays than it did for generations past - namely online instead of in education or at work - but relationship life itself is also changing. "Permanent partnerships are being delayed, moving in together takes longer and first births are being postponed," says demographer Bernhard Riederer from the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW).
