News from the university: how to attract students
A new campus for healthcare and nursing in Kapfenberg and a new "Center of Physics" at the University of Graz: something is happening at Styrian universities. But how exactly do they want to prepare themselves for international competition? And how to attract students?
A 36-metre high demolition excavator stands on a mound of earth in front of the pre-clinic building in Graz - a symbol of the current upheaval in the Styrian university landscape. The ground-breaking ceremony for the new Center of Physics of the University of Graz and Graz University of Technology will soon take place here. Investment volume: 392 million euros for the new building from the Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft - and a further 49 million from the federal government and universities for furnishings and equipment.
