The province has never had so many female mayors
Although the proportion of female mayors in Styria has exceeded ten percent for the first time, women are still underrepresented. What do women experience in the position of mayor? And how can office and family be reconciled?

While female ministers and state councillors are widespread, the proportion of women at municipal level in Styria is weak at 10.2 percent.
Veronika Grill - "Vroni" is written on her coffee cup - stands out all the more. At 32, she is the youngest SPÖ mayor in Austria, the youngest woman to hold this office in Styria and the first ever in Ausseerland. Is the area particularly conservative? "We are traditional," she smiles away the question.
