A deposit of 25 cents will apply to bottles and aluminum cans from 2025. What is easy to implement for supermarkets poses massive problems for snack stands. René Kachlir, operator of a sausage stand in Vienna city center, gives his opinion in an interview with "Krone": What he now demands from politicians.

The deposit system planned for 2025 is a hot topic for sausage stands. This is because anyone who sells cans or plastic bottles will have to take them back with a deposit of 25 cents. This also applies to small restaurateurs and tobacconists, for example.
