The Styrian capital has to tighten its belt even more financially. This also affects the education sector. One director is now vehemently opposing the savings plans.

The city of Graz and its finances are unlikely to become a love story any time soon. Even before the summer, City Councillor for Finance Manfred Eber (KPÖ) held out the prospect of an austerity budget for the coming year, with funding in all departments set to shrink by ten percent. This week it became known that more than nine million euros will also have to be saved in the current budget, as we reported.
