When whistleblower Edward Snowden uncovered the rampant mass surveillance of the US secret service a decade ago, he knew that he couldn't leave any digital traces behind when revealing this scandal. A specially prepared USB stick was Snowden's "life insurance".
With the USB stick, Snowden turned every computer into a "disposable system" on which he could work, communicate or view data without leaving a trace on the computer. All data traffic was routed through the "darknet", making every computer a portal for anonymous communication for Snowden. Krone+ shows you how to create a USB stick like this, what it is useful for - and when it is not so useful.
