Nova Rock gets underway: loud and wild, but sustainable

Nova Rock kicks off in Nickelsdorf: the organizers have their hands full behind the scenes. Huge amounts of shower and toilet water, high voltage in the power grid, tons of waste. As merciless as star guest Keanu Reeves is as "John Wick" in Hollywood films, the festival is just as cleverly organized to be environmentally friendly.

Nova Rock will once again take place for four days at Pannonia Fields II in Nickelsdorf, after which only three-day festivals are planned. The pilgrimage has begun in earnest. Tens of thousands of fans are expected. In times of climate change and increasing environmental awareness, this is an enormous challenge for the organizers, and only brains and sophisticated technology can help.
