Rising temperatures, more nesting sites and a Swiss reintroduction project are leading to an increase in the number of storks in Salzburg. Meanwhile, energy giant Salzburg AG reacts to a complaint after the nest was nudged in Leopoldskron.

Neumarkt am Wallersee: A pair of storks has moved into the nest on Bahnhofsstraße for the fourth time in a row this year. The migratory birds have made themselves comfortable on a kind of old maypole with a nest wreath. They take it in turns to brood over the five eggs currently in the nest or search for grass frogs, lizards and worms in the nearby Wenger Moor.
