Not celebrating, not voting: This is how Jehovah’s Witnesses live
They go from house to house or stand in city centers and try to convince others of their faith - this is what people think of Jehovah's Witnesses. What else constitutes the religious community remains hidden for most people behind the walls of the Kingdom Halls. The "Krone" spoke to a member.
Just about everyone has seen them walking through the city with their trolley or opened the door to them: 2874 people in Styria profess the faith of Jehovah's Witnesses. "Anyone who wants to can get information from a trolley service like this. We offer our magazines, but we don't approach anyone," explains Gottfried Kraft, who has belonged to Jehovah's Witnesses for 30 years. The same applies to home visits. "We want to share the biblical message with people. But we don't impose ourselves."
