One year of red-black harmony and Köfer’s dubious offer

While the sustainability coalition between the SPÖ and ÖVP in Carinthia still looks very harmonious even after a year, Team Carinthia is making a somewhat dubious offer to the two governing parties.

When state governor Peter Kaiser (SPÖ) and his black deputy Martin Gruber parade, it is easy to get the impression of a happy political marriage. And the duo confirmed this at their press conference to mark the first anniversary of Carinthia's sustainability coalition. "We have already introduced some reforms. There are still teething troubles here and there," emphasized the state leader. And despite the teething troubles, the red-black duo has managed one thing: to exude political calm.
