Divorces don’t always proceed smoothly, and certainly not on friendly terms. In addition to some legal hurdles, there are also interpersonal pitfalls. For instance, men often explain “complete legal nonsense” to their wives when it comes to divorce, says attorney Maria-Christina Kolar-Syrmas.
“Then come nonsensical statements, such as that the woman must move out immediately, that the children will be taken away from her, that she won’t receive alimony, and so on,” the expert reports from her professional experience. That’s why she advises: “Don’t just believe everything without checking it first!”
