Ode to an object of hate
What’s so bad about canned ravioli?
Recently, a commentary appeared that was one big diatribe against canned ravioli. No, you haven't misread it: Canned ravioli! Author and natural scientist Christian Mähr didn't like the text at all.
First the text annoyed me, then it made me think. That's extremely rare - I'm usually just annoyed. Of course, the first reaction is: What's behind this? After all, the ravioli could be the hook for something else, criticism of a bad contemporary situation that is illustrated and exemplified using the example of canned ravioli. Because, as we all know, journalists write texts for one main reason - to make the world a better place. But that was not the case here. The author simply has a deep-seated aversion to - one could even say a hatred of - canned ravioli.
