Will Europe become the new icy winter fairy tale?

In the midst of the heat mania, a new study has emerged which predicts that Europe will cool down to Siberian levels. The reason: global warming! How is this supposed to work out? Natural scientist and author Christian Mähr knows. 

This is not entirely new: it is about the North Atlantic circulation, which sounds more scientific than the common term "Gulf Stream". However, this is only one part of the global current pattern. The fact that the waters of the world's oceans "flow" anywhere at all is due to the sun, whose radiation heats different areas of the globe to different degrees. Intensely at the equator, weakly at the poles. This is balanced out by the currents in the atmosphere and the oceans.
