Advertisements and Russians: New controversial FPÖ chats
New controversial chats are now putting the FPÖ in trouble. They concern advertisements and a meeting with Russian officials. The focus is on former party leader and Vice-Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache.
It almost sounds like a never-ending story. For over 1.5 years, ÖVP parliamentary group leader Andreas Hanger has been requesting the chats of former FPÖ leader Heinz Christian Strache. Hanger is particularly interested in the chats that Strache had with his former party colleagues such as Herbert Kickl, Norbert Hofer & Co. or with politicians from other parties. The chats between Strache and the then chancellor and ÖVP leader Sebastian Kurz were immediately delivered to the U Committee. Hanger had to wait for the others. Quite a long time.
