Donating one’s body for medical education now involves significant costs. This is partly because not all donations can be utilized. Why, then, is the willingness to donate increasing? Professor Niels Hammer explains.

“Body donations are the guarantee of a good medical education,” Niels Hammer sums it up. As head of the Department of Macroscopic and Clinical Anatomy at the Medical University of Graz, he is grateful to every single person who makes their body available to medical students. And he says: “We are certainly privileged when it comes to the number of donors.”
