Quickly redeem your voucher cards before they are no longer valid- that was the motto in the Kika/Leiner stores on Thursday, where customers made impulse purchases while the furniture retailer's insolvency petition was filed in court. The facts are now on the table: the liabilities amount to 113 million euros.
It is unclear whether a restructuring will succeed and what will happen to the 1350 employees and 17 stores. One thing is certain: The subsequent use of furniture stores is not a sure-fire success.
