Salzburg's FPÖ state councillor for social affairs, Christian Pewny, is receiving harsh criticism as "community nurses" are threatened with extinction in Salzburg. A setback in the middle of the care crisis. The consultants help elderly people to continue living at home.

"Are we going to lose you now?" This is what worried senior citizens are asking in many communities. Around 30 care workers have been visiting them since 2022. They advise those in need of care on how they can live independently at home for a long time - which saves the social security system a lot of money.
