Five defendants were each sentenced to partial prison terms at the Wels regional court on Tuesday - although the sentences are not yet final. A final sentence could also have an impact on their jobs. So things will continue in this spectacular fraud case.

On Tuesday, the lawyers of the six defendants demanded acquittals after a dubious real estate deal on Lake Traunsee. However, the lay judges only partially complied with this request. Only one notary was acquitted; according to the court, he was not involved in the fraud against the woman suffering from dementia.
