Homework is an irritating topic

“A positive attitude is key for pupils”

Hardly any other topic preoccupies pupils and their parents as much, and consumes as much time and nerves, as homework. But why is this, and is there perhaps a way to make this unpopular task more attractive?

"It's obvious: children would rather do anything else, they just don't enjoy it," says mental coach Sabine Reichsthaler. "Young schoolchildren in particular often don't understand why they have to do homework and what it's good for. People love autonomy and self-determination. But this is usually ignored when it comes to traditional homework!"
