When will the excavators arrive after the flood of the century?

After a week of rain, many Upper Austrians who last "flooded" in 2013 have anxious nights behind them. Since the flood of the century, there has been a lot of talk in the Eferding basin, which was mainly affected at the time, but nothing has been built. The "Krone" found out when and where the excavators will be moving in at the earliest. 

Peter was merciful to Upper Austria this year when he opened the floodgates. But thousands of compatriots were shivering, remembering the images from 2002 and 2013 when they were "flooded". After the 2002 flood, it took seven years to build the Machland dam at a cost of 182.6 million euros. The 2013 flood came before construction work began on protecting St. Georgen Bay from the "Danube water" - but these projects are now complete.
