Hotel rooms: Please don’t iron your toast!

We recently told you how unpleasantly some holidaymakers behave in their accommodation: For example, dirty underwear is washed in the kettle or toast is made with the iron. On the other hand, taking mini cosmetics and the like with you is practically old hat in terms of bad behavior. But the question is the same for both: is it allowed?

Basically, the answer to this question is simple: no. Not only can certain actions be extremely disgusting for the next guests: They can even be criminal offenses. Even if the hotel industry generally relies on amicable agreements. But what exactly is the situation now, we ask Maria Schreiner, Managing Director of the Hotel Industry Association of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ).
