Hotel rooms: Please don’t iron your toast!
We recently reported on how some vacationers behave inappropriately in their accommodations: for example, washing dirty underwear in the electric kettle or using the iron to make toast. On the other hand, taking mini-sized toiletries and the like is practically old hat when it comes to bad behavior. But the question is the same for both: Is that allowed?
Basically, the answer to the question is simple: no. Not only can certain actions be extremely disgusting for the next guests, but they may even constitute criminal offenses. Even though the hotel industry usually opts for an amicable resolution. But what exactly is the situation? We asked Mag. Maria Schreiner, managing director of the Hotel Industry Association at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ).
