How can a restaurant on a remote Carinthian lake become Inn of the Year when it's almost impossible to get a seat without a reservation? During a visit to the "Krone", the junior chef chats "from the cooking pot" - which, by the way, only ever uses what is fresh and regionally available.

The day couldn't be more beautiful during our visit to Carinthia's restaurant of the year: bright sunshine, young stand-up paddlers on the deep blue lake in front of us, a delicious aroma from the kitchen - and two generations of dedicated landlords revealing the recipe for success of their "Seewirt", which has existed since 1951.
