She is world-famous and has Carinthian roots: film producer Anna Grant has traveled all the way from England to attend the opening of the memorial to Anna von Eberstein. But who was this historical figure actually?

Anna von Eberstein, a noblewoman from the Duchy of Carinthia, was considered one of the most beautiful and intelligent women of her time. She lived in the 14th century, died around 1418 and was married to Dietrich von Teuffenbach in her first marriage. One of her descendants is famous.
