Illegal construction site on country road stopped
Local residents in Keutschach wondered why the construction site along the Keutschacher Landesstraße suddenly stopped - despite the fact that the footpath and cycle path were affected shortly before the tourist season. The "Krone" spoke to those responsible and uncovered illegal work.
In the summer months, the footpath and cycle path between Café Alt-Wien and the center of Keutschach is a popular route for hikers and cyclists. "Take a look at this. In the high season, they simply tear up the sidewalk here," says an annoyed tourist at the "Krone" site inspection.
But it's not just the construction site that upsets local residents. A two-week construction freeze also caused some annoyance. But why was the construction work at a standstill in the first place?
