In Salzburg, you can use public transportation for free on so-called fuel-free days. But Klaus Luger, head of the Social Democratic Party (SP) in Linz, has a specially developed project in the pipeline that his economic department will be implementing together with the Linz City Ring and the Linz lines from September.

At the request of the FPÖ municipal council group, there will be a topical hour on the subject of "Revitalizing Linz's city centre as an indispensable pillar for quality of life, economy and tradition" at the upcoming municipal council meeting.

However, before SP Mayor Klaus Luger answers questions from council members next Thursday in his role as economic advisor, he has already revealed in an interview with the "Krone" newspaper how he intends to counteract the trend of gradually decreasing footfall on Saturdays in the city center.
