How AI will help each individual cancer patient

Cancer comes with age. By 2030, almost 500,000 people in Austria will be living with the disease. Naturally, they need good care. In order to support the already overburdened medical staff, there will be no way around the help of artificial intelligence. So will humans soon no longer be treating us?

"That's not what we're talking about when we talk about the use of artificial intelligence in oncology," says Prim. Prof. Dr. Ewald Wöll, President of the Austrian Society for Haematology and Medical Oncology (OeGHO). He and an expert from Vienna University of Technology explain what is actually behind this and how AI will help patients in the future.
