It was only when the "Krone" reported on it that it became a topic of discussion throughout the country: State Parliament President Max Hiegelsberger (ÖVP) escaped with relatively minor injuries after a serious accident involving a tractor and trailer in his home town of Meggenhofen. The accident, which happened on March 13 at 10.10 a.m., occurred when the former state councillor for agriculture drove under a bridge on the Innkreis highway (A 8) and got stuck.
