Mistake saves romantic village from too much notoriety

A picturesque Innviertel village was supposed to be the most beautiful in Upper Austria or even the whole of Austria. But the cancellation of the ORF show "9 Plätze - 9 Schätze" (9 Places - 9 Treasures), which was based on a mistake, has suddenly attracted more attention than some would have liked.

"I thought it was still about a German TV production that had previously asked when I said that the people in Kneiding certainly wouldn't want it." - The mayor of Schardenberg mistakenly canceled when it came to including the 40-inhabitant village of Kneiding - affectionately known as the Romantic Village - in the ORF show "9 Places - 9 Treasures".
