Fatal shortcut over steep section in the wrong gear

The background to the tractor accident in Franking has been clarified, the driver - the owner's son - had made a series of wrong decisions. The wife of the birthday boy (60) is still struggling with death. The driver (24) reproaches himself, his father talks about the causes of the accident.

"My son blames himself the most," says Ralf K. (56) from Franking, who runs the Traktor-Roas, where the serious accident happened on Saturday during an outing for the 60th birthday of a man from Eugendorf (Styria). "We were on the road with two tractors, my son and I," says the father, who had trained the junior on the 15 Steyr: "He's driven a lot and helps out every now and then."
