Clear the ring for the great ice hockey classic! KAC vs Salzburg is the first all-Austrian final since 2017 - between the dominators of recent years. With bodyguards, billion-dollar duels and psychological warfare, there have been numerous historical upsets between the clubs.

When the KAC and Salzburg battle it out for the championship trophy in the domestic league from Friday, the best the league has to offer will come together. The facts show that. In the last 16 completed seasons, twelve titles have gone to these two teams: Salzburg won eight times, the KAC four times - plus Bolzano twice and Linz and the Vienna Capitals once each. Which highlights their dominance even more: The last time there was a final in which neither Klagenfurt nor Salzburg were involved was 21 (!) years ago.
