She is ambitious, refuses to be bent and, as the youngest mayoral candidate from Upper Austria in 2021, has put two men in their place at the first attempt. Who is the 27-year-old, who is mainly criticized by women and because of her underwear, and what did she learn at her sister high school?

A tight-fitting black dress with a plunging neckline, high heels and a confident appearance: Julia Breitwieser knows what she can do. After all, as a young politician in Thalheim, she promptly came second in the mayoral election. Ahead of Deputy Mayor Norbert Mayr (FPÖ) and Ralph Schallmeiner, member of the National Council for the Greens. "That was good for me. After all, it was said beforehand that my application was for show," says the 27-year-old proudly, telling us about her unusual path into politics and what she has already turned around there.
