Bernd Hufnagl is a neurobiologist, leadership trainer, author and management consultant. He worked in brain research for ten years. He gave a lecture in Alpbach and then met with "Krone" for an interview.

"Krone": You gave a lecture on brain-friendly working and living as part of the 43rd Education Week in Alpbach under the motto "Better fixed than done!". What can we do to improve our working conditions?
Bernd Hufnagl: A lot! Because we are constantly switching back and forth between different tasks at short intervals without actually finishing anything. It's all along the lines of: "More and more, faster and faster and more and more at the same time - until nothing can be done." However, this stressful behavior cannot simply be switched off. That's why the world of work must learn to tackle the real causes and change the framework conditions for people.
