Shock for Carinthian: 17,000 euros back payment for electricity!

A Carinthian businessman who runs a small local supplier in a rural area was blindsided when his electricity bill arrived: the man was suddenly asked to pay more than 17,000 euros in arrears! When he found out the reason for the horrendous demand, he went to court - and won.

There are also several lawsuits against the country's major providers at the regional court in Klagenfurt concerning the sometimes inscrutable electricity price increases and contract amendments by energy providers. One has now come to a legally binding conclusion - with an outcome that should please all customers!
