After 35 years, Gerhard Schiller is calling it a day. He is handing over his store in Vienna's Rotensterngasse to his successor on Monday. Because there are only a few tobacconists left, it is a goldmine. The "Krone" knows the reasons why the tobacconists "around the corner" have to close more and more often.

While many are eagerly awaiting their retirement, Gerhard Schiller is finding it difficult to part with his store at Rotensterngasse 30. For 35 years, the tobacconist has stood behind the counter day in, day out and has always welcomed his customers with a smile. And they will also sorely miss the friendly tobacconist.
