Eating Käsekrainer in three-four time: During the Opera Ball, the "Bitzinger" sausage stand at the foot of the Albertina was transformed into a chic meeting place. Krone+ was there that night and met proud debutante parents, pensive singers and motivated girlfriends. 

"In the heart of this city/There's a sausage stand/There everyone is somehow related to everyone/From the Hofrat to the Sandler, from the Sheriff to the Strizzi!" once sang the EAV. Whether the legendary Austropop combo had the "Bitzinger" at the foot of the Albertina in mind is not known. But it would have been a perfect fit.
