There will soon be more cars instead of fewer

The switch to public transport is stalling, e-mobility was already in greater demand. And the number of cars is not decreasing. In Upper Austria, a detailed forecast has now been made for the next 20 years. And one district in particular stands out, where one might actually expect a completely different development.

In Upper Austria, there are more than 40,500 active climate tickets compared to around 1.42 million cars, motorcycles and trucks. This means that three times as many people are using buses and trains than in 2021, but only very few are giving up their cars.
