Why the AI sent Peter Kaiser into retirement

After the new and government-internal KärntenGPT mistakenly sent Governor Peter Kaiser into retirement, Head of IT Christian Inzko explains how the mistake could have happened and where the state would like to rely on artificial intelligence in the future.

In December, the Carinthian state government proudly presented its own artificial intelligence called KärntenGPT. "The reason for this was that the employees of the state government wanted to work more with artificial intelligence," explains Christian Inzko, head of the state's IT department. And because personal data from citizens has to be uploaded time and time again, the state wanted to ensure that the data was secure with its own data center.
