Farmers had to kowtow to the wishes of Saudi princes

The trial for a lot of money for a municipality so that a Saudi prince could build a "hotel" on the green meadow at Mondsee provided devastating insights into the machinations of "the powerful and rich" surrounding the acquisition and rededication. Was it a hotel, a guest house or just a disguised second home for Prince Khalid of Saudi Arabia? It doesn't really matter, because according to the indictment by the Public Prosecutor's Office for Economic Affairs and Corruption, no money should have been paid for the rededication of the 10,000 square meter property on Lake Mondsee in 1998.
