What the future holds for motorsport at KTM

Production stop, job cuts, filing for insolvency - thousands of KTM employees in Mattighofen fear for their livelihoods. The economic problems of Europe's largest motorcycle manufacturer are also affecting the racing division (which won 13 world championship titles this year). KTM Head of Motorsport Pit Beirer in an interview.

"Krone": Will there be additional cuts in the motorsport division for next year under the current circumstances?
Pit Beirer: In the plans for how we as a company are aligning ourselves for the future, motorsport is also being called upon. There has already been a clear statement from the Board of Management to focus on the core brand KTM. This means that there are obviously some costs that can be saved quickly.
