Neutor closure? “We’re doing it now”

The people of Salzburg rejected the S-Link in a referendum on Sunday. Anna Schiester (Citizens' List) is now to present other solutions as city councillor for transport. In an interview with the "Krone" newspaper, she announces initial measures and wants to reduce car traffic in Salzburg's city center. In addition to the Neutor closure, a city toll is also on the agenda.

"Krone": You were a supporter of the S-Link. Are you still disappointed after the negative outcome of the survey?
Anna Schiester: I'm not disappointed, but I'm not happy with the result. Everyone is now glad that the vote is over. The debate was simply very emotional. But I am looking ahead because something finally has to happen in terms of transport policy.
