Emergency doctor: “Horror with tenant not an isolated case”

A "Krone" report on untenable conditions in a residential complex in Innsbruck has caused a stir. An emergency doctor reports similar cases and speaks of a growing problem. The city's social welfare officer, Deputy Mayor Georg Willi (Greens), announces measures. 

It is a horror for the neighbors and a tragedy for those affected: As reported, a tenant in a Neue Heimat apartment block in Innsbruck has been keeping the whole building in suspense for months: nightly alcohol excesses, screaming orgies, catastrophic hygienic conditions. The man apparently has no family, is ill and can no longer look after himself. He has so far refused help from some social services. So what to do?
