Senseless dispute over parking space escalates

The fact that searching for a parking space can be associated with strong emotions across all social classes is shown by a trial involving assault and coercion in Vienna's regional court. The case involves a once powerful top manager and his adult son, who is sentenced for the seemingly embarrassing incident. The victim is a father of three. 

"It was an unnecessary situation and an unnecessary escalation," is how Judge Mark Tuttinger aptly summarizes it. Involved: A well-known former top manager (name known to the editors) and his well-earning son, who had to take a seat in the dock in Vienna's Landl district on Tuesday.
