Figures paint a bleak picture for the future

Vienna has published the annual report for the minimum income 2023. A closer look at the figures should set alarm bells ringing. The situation has worsened across all groups. This is where the biggest challenges and dangers now lurk. 

The minimum income is a safety net for the Viennese population - and it should be. After all, inflation and the tense economic situation are not necessarily making life easier for all Viennese. As reported, the city has now presented its annual report for 2023. The main cause for concern is that 62 percent of recipients are now non-Austrians.
