The case of a family of nine in Vienna and their receipt of social welfare is still causing discussion. The "Krone" newspaper has asked itself how much money families actually need. It's more than you might think.

Is 4600 euros in social welfare too much for a family of nine? At first glance, perhaps yes - not least from the point of view of all those who want to make political small change out of it. In any case, it is worth taking a second, much more differentiated look, starting with the question: What does a family actually need to make ends meet these days?
