Which professions are now in demand on the job market

Unemployment in Burgenland has risen in recent months. However, this does not mean that there is an oversupply of workers in every sector. Quite the opposite: in some professions, there are plenty of vacancies. 

At the end of July, 7520 people were registered as unemployed in Burgenland, which corresponds to a rate of 6.1 percent. Compared to the previous year, this represents an increase of 8.9 percent. In addition, 1508 people were in training (+4.3 percent). In total, 9028 people were looking for a job.
